International Sanicole Airshow Unveils Exciting Static Display Lineup

The anticipation for the 2024 International Sanicole Airshow has reached new heights as event organizers have revealed an impressive roster of aircraft set to be featured in the static display during the show weekend on 21 and 22 September 2024. This year’s lineup promises a diverse array of aircraft, ranging from modern military machines to classic jets and historic warbirds, ensuring a captivating experience for aviation enthusiasts and spectators alike.

The Belgian Air Force will be prominently represented with several key aircraft. Attendees will have the opportunity to see the SIAI Marchetti SF260 from 1 Wing, a staple in pilot training. The NH Industries NH90TTH from the 18 Squadron and the NH90NFH from the 40 Squadron will also be on display, showcasing their roles in transport and maritime operations. Additionally, the Agusta A109BAi from the 17 Squadron will be featured, highlighting its versatility in light utility and medical evacuation missions.

International military forces will also make a significant showing. The Austrian Air Force will present the Pilatus PC-7 Turbo trainer, renowned for its training capabilities. The Royal Netherlands Air Force will display a trio of aircraft: the Boeing AH-64E Apache from the 301 Squadron, the NH Industries NH90NFH Caimen from the 860 Squadron, and another Pilatus PC-7 Turbo trainer from the 131 Squadron, underscoring their diverse operational fleet. From the Swedish Air Force, spectators will have the chance to see the Sikorsky Hkp-16 Blackhawk and the Leonardo Hkp-15, both of which play crucial roles in transport and search and rescue missions.

The static display will also feature a privately owned Aerospatiale SA342 Gazelle and the de Havilland Canada DHC-1 Chipmunk. Additionally, a Fokker S11 Instructor, also privately owned, will be on display.

Warbird enthusiasts will be thrilled to see the Fokker DXXI from Egmond Vintage Wings and the Vultee BT-13 Valiant, a privately owned aircraft that served as a trainer during World War II. The civilian sector will be represented by a diverse array of aircraft, including the Dornier Do228NXT from General Atomics AeroTec Systems, the Stampe SV4 from SDJ Aerobatics, and a privately owned Yakovlev Yak-50. The Royal Belgian Air Cadets will also showcase their Grob G103A Twin II Acro, highlighting their commitment to fostering the next generation of pilots.

The International Sanicole Airshow has long been a staple in the aviation calendar, drawing thousands of visitors from around the globe. The 2024 edition promises to uphold this tradition with a lineup that spans the spectrum of aviation history and technology. Attendees can look forward to an engaging and educational experience, with opportunities to get up close to some of the most iconic aircraft in military and civilian aviation.
