Namest nad Oslavou Air Base open day 2024 program revealed

The Namest nad Oslavou Air Base has recently released the program for its highly anticipated open-day event. The event, which will take place on Wednesday, May 1st, 2024, is expected to be a thrilling day for aviation enthusiasts and curious visitors alike.

The program includes an impressive range of activities and attractions that will cater to all ages and interests. Visitors can look forward to witnessing static aircraft displays, where they can get up close and personal with some of the most advanced and sophisticated aircraft used by the military. They can also watch thrilling flight demonstrations, where expert pilots will showcase their skills and perform daring manoeuvres in the skies above the base.

Static Displays

The event offers an exciting opportunity for visitors to witness a diverse range of aircraft on static display, including the AH-1Z, UH-1Y, Mi-171S, OH-58, UH-60, Mi-24, Enstrom 480, Robinson R-22 and Mi-2 helicopters, and Z-142, L-410, CASA C-295, and L-159 aircraft. Moreover, the ground equipment display will showcase versatile machinery such as the IVECO CBRN light armored vehicle, PANDUR II, DINGO, KAJMAN, TALON pyrotechnic robot, T-72M4CZ tank, LEOPARD tank, RBS-70NG, and airport security equipment.

Apart from the static display of aircraft and ground equipment, visitors can also attend several accompanying programs. These programs include the presentation stand of the Personnel Agency of the Ministry of Defense, where visitors can learn about career opportunities in the military, the presentation stand of the University of Defense Brno, where they can get insights into the university's programs and courses. Additionally, visitors can witness the presentation of Active Reserves, the stand of the Vysocina Region, the VoZP stand, the Harley Davidson stand, the presentation of BESIP of the Vysocina Region, and the presentation of Dakar Rally competitors - Tomas Ourednicek and David Kripal. They can also learn about the Military Police and their role in maintaining law and order. Overall, the event promises to be an exhilarating experience for aviation enthusiasts and anyone interested in exploring the military's various facets.
