SoloTurk to perform Finnish debut display in Vaasa

SoloTurk
SoloTürk, a single-aircraft aerobatic demonstration team of the Turkish Air Force, was established in November 2009 with the aim of showcasing the aerial skills of the Turkish Air Force pilots. The team underwent an intensive pilot training process which was completed in August 2010, with three pilots initially selected to fly for the team. The first demonstration flight was performed in September 2010 within the military, followed by the team's first public appearance on April 15, 2011.
Since then, SoloTürk has participated in numerous national and international airshows, which have been highly appreciated by aviation enthusiasts for their unique and impressive manoeuvres. The team is currently based at Konya Air Base, having moved there from Akinci Air Base in 2016 following a coup d'état attempt. It consists of 13 personnel, including two pilots.
