New RAF Typhoon Display Team Pilot for 2024 Announced
The Royal Air Force Typhoon Display Team has announced that the new Typhoon display pilot for the 2024 season will be Flight Lieutenant David 'Turbo' Turnbull.
Flight Lieutenant David 'Turbo' Turnbull has been named as the RAF Typhoon Display Pilot for the 2024 season, he will be taking over the role from the 2023 display pilot Flight Lieutenant Matthew Brighty. ‘Turbo’ and all of the Typhoon Display Team comprised of engineers, Ground Support, Public relations and the management are drawn from No 29(R) Squadron based at RAF Coningsby, Lincolnshire.
The Typhoon display circuit is a culmination of months of hard work, detailed preparation and concerted effort by the team behind the display. Whilst it is the pilot who displays the aircraft, 'Turbo' cannot even begin to do his job without the unfaltering commitment and backing from the dedicated group of professionals that make up the Typhoon Display Team.
