BIAS 2022 PROGRAM REVELAED

The organizers of the Bucharest International Air Show (BIAS) have released the provisional program for their first post-pandemic airshow.

After a two-year absence due to covid restrictions the Bucharest International Air Show (BIAS), the largest of its kind in Romania, will return this year. The airshow will take place on Saturday, September 3, 2022, traditionally at the Bucharest Baneasa-Aurel Vlaicu and ROMAERO International Airport.

The 2022 edition of the Bucharest International Air Show will feature a rich program of local and international performers both civilian and military.

In the Air: Unsurprisingly the Romanian Air Force will dominate in the flying displays demonstrating almost all of their aircraft at the show with solo and formation displays as well as role demonstrations and multiple special formations. Besides the Romanian Air Force, the spectators will also be able to see the flying displays by the Boeing 737 of the Romanian’s flag carrier TAROM, the H135 solo display from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Romania and a number of displays of the aircraft from the Romanian Aeroclub including the amazing Hawks of Romania, White Wings and Icarii Acrobati aerobatic teams. The 2022 edition of BIAS will also feature a number of international performers such as the return of the crowd favourite Jurgis Kairys on his Su-31 aerobatic aircraft, Slovenian Air Force PC-9M Solo Display and the solo displays by the Eurofighter Typhoon, C-27J Spartan and T-346A Master from the 311th Squadron / Test Flight Department of the Italian Air Force.

On the ground: The organizers once again prepared a very interesting static display allowing the spectators to chat with the pilots and have a closer look at many of the aircraft from the Romanian Air Force & the Romanian Aeroclub. On display at the static park, there will also be a number of aircraft from other NATO countries such as the CF-188 Hornet from the Royal Canadian Air Force, Panavia Tornado from the German Air Force, Saab Gripen from the Hungarian Air Force and LET-410 from the Slovak Air Force .
