In a highly anticipated addition to this year’s Bournemouth Air Festival, two formidable Swedish fighter jets, the Saab Viggen and Saab Draken, are set to perform a stunning aerial display during the three-day event from Thursday, August 29 to Saturday, August 31. Piloting these iconic aircraft will be Stellan Andersson in the Viggen and Lars Martinsson in the Draken. This marks a historic first for the festival, as these renowned aircraft will be flying together at the event.

Aviation aficionados and history enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating a remarkable event as Europe’s only airworthy Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress, affectionately known as “Sally B,” prepares to take to the skies at the Bournemouth Air Festival 2024. This iconic aircraft, meticulously preserved by the dedicated B-17 Preservation group, is scheduled to perform on Saturday, marking its triumphant return to Bournemouth since its last display in 2018.
