Hellenic Air Force T-6A Texan II Demo Team “Daedalus” Joins Stellar Lineup at BIAS 2024
Bucharest, Romania – The excitement surrounding the Bucharest International Air Show (BIAS) 2024 continues to soar with the latest addition of the Hellenic Air Force T-6A Texan II Demo Team “Daedalus” to the already impressive lineup of performers. The T-6 Texan II turboprop trainer, the foundation of the T-6A, evolved from the Swiss-made Pilatus PC-9 and was selected by Beechcraft to meet the US Air Force and US Navy’s JPATS (Joint Primary Aircraft Training System) requirement in the 1990s. Since then, the T-6 Texan II has become a staple in the air forces of the US, Canada, Greece, Israel, Iraq, Morocco, Mexico, and beyond, with over 800 aircraft delivered to date. The T-6A has seen upgrades to the T-6B and T-6C variants, as well as the armed and enhanced AT-6B light attack aircraft.
