Saudi Hawks Arrive in Europe Ahead of RIAT 2024 Performance

RAF Waddington, United Kingdom – The Royal Saudi Air Force aerobatic team, known as the Saudi Hawks, have successfully landed in Europe in preparation for their much-anticipated display at the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) 2024. The team, accompanied by their Lockheed C-130H Hercules support aircraft, touched down at the Red Arrows’ home base of RAF Waddington on the afternoon of July 9th.

The Saudi Hawks are the Royal Saudi Air Force’s official aerobatic team, known for their precise and dynamic aerial displays. Established in 1998, the team has performed at numerous international airshows, showcasing the skill and professionalism of the Royal Saudi Air Force. The Saudi Hawks’ arrival marks a significant milestone as they gear up for their performance at one of the largest military air shows in the world, set to take place from Friday, July 19, 2024, to Sunday, July 21, 2024, at RAF Fairford. Before heading to RIAT, the team is scheduled to perform at the RAF Waddington Families Day on July 13th, offering a preview of their breathtaking aerial manoeuvres to the local community and RAF personnel.

This year’s RIAT will be particularly notable for the Saudi Hawks as it represents their final appearance with the current fleet of Hawk Mk65 aircraft.
